Undocumented & DACA Applicants

All students are welcome at Loyola

As a Jesuit, Catholic University, we are committed to valuing the dignity of every member of the University community. Loyola welcomes and supports applications from students of all ethnicities and nationalities regardless of their immigration status. Applications from undocumented students and students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status are invited and given the same consideration as any other Loyola applicant during the review process.

We proudly stand in solidarity with undocumented students and welcome you to explore the services, opportunities, and resources available to you

Applying to Loyola

Undocumented and DACA students should follow the same application process as U.S. citizens or permanent residents. This applies for students coming directly from high school as well as students interested in transferring in from another undergraduate institution.

Please note that all information provided on the application is confidential. Therefore, undocumented students should feel comfortable providing as much information as possible on the application forms. Immigration status does not have an impact on the admission process.

Financial Aid & Merit Scholarships

Loyola offers both need-based financial aid and merit-based scholarships to undocumented and DACA students.

Merit Scholarships

All undocumented and DACA students who apply for admission will be considered for merit-based academic scholarship awards provided their application for admission is complete by the Early Action admission deadline of November 15, or the Regular Decision admission deadline of January 15. A separate scholarship application is not required. To learn more, please visit our scholarships page.

Financial Aid

Undocumented and DACA students are considered for need-based financial like any other U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Because federal financial aid is not available for undocumented and DACA students, Loyola provides institutional financial aid in its place.
